Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've been righting a few useful SharePoint tools that can be used for all.
One of the cool little solutions I've just written was the SharePoint 2007 Solution Upload Manager! This little baby allows the developer/administrator to just upload a solution pack directly into SharePoint using Central Administration!
Here's a screenshot:
**Note: The Add solution functionality only works on servers in the Farm! This mainly because the SPSolution object cannot be constructed directly"**

Thanks so much for this useful tool, it works brilliantly as a visual reference for the solutions you have uploaded. However, i have uploaded the helpdesk solution that coems from the microsoft template pack and cant see anywhere in WSS to use it.
I tried creating a new site with helpdesk as the template but it doesn't come up in my templates.
Any ideas? I am new to sharepoint as in i have been using it for 3 days :D
